Beth Timlege

Beth is certified Positive Psychology Life and Career Coach and a certified Equine Specialist with the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship (PATH), Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association (EAGALA), Equine Experiential Education (E3A)  and she holds a B.S. in Zoology. Beth has an expansive and diverse equestrian background including over 25 years experience in breeding, training and competing horses in Balance Seat, Dressage and Hunt Seat. Currently she is enjoying riding, training, teaching students and loving the Icelandics at Solstice!

Esther Heffernan

Esther holds a M. A. in Literature from Trinity College. She taught high school and college level courses for twenty-six years. After being challenged to “to ride a horse,” at 59 years of age, she discovered a new passion, one where she was the student! She continues to work, ride, and learn about her equine friends at Solstice. She owns the farm’s First Lady, Snilld, and Ambassador Gramann.
 

Maddy Makuc

Maddy has been riding and learning about horses since she was 4 years old and has become an accomplished equestrian. Along with Beth and Esther she manages and cares for the horses at Solstice, she is an assistant teacher in the Therapeutic Riding program, and rides and trains her Icelandic horse, Logi, as well as taking care of her spirited pony, Blackie.
